Update from Trevor
We did it!
Three Trees hosted a youth summer service event group for the 3rd consecutive summer! And we hosted our first ever Family Day in July! Are you kidding me! How did we get so old!
Getting to where we are today would not have been possible without the support, prayers, time, and talents of so many people. It was awesome to, once again, see many volunteers give their time and their God given gifts and abilities to serve Three Trees during the service event. I am also continually grateful for the people who may not have been able to serve in person but have come alongside Three Trees as financial supporters. And I cannot forget all the other people who work behind the scenes during the year to keep Three Trees on track with board meetings, newsletters, bookkeeping, website updates, social media, fundraising and so much more. My heart is full and ready to see who God is calling to join this team next. Know that you are all covered with much love and prayer, Thank You!
We are rolling into this fall with lots of excitement and energy. We are continually growing our monthly donor base and are encouraged with how God continues to put people in front of us who believe in this vision and dream. If you know of anyone who would be interested in becoming a monthly donor, I or someone on our fundraising team would love to have a conversation with them!
As our donor base grows, we are eagerly anticipating the possibility of purchasing land in the next couple years (or sooner). We know there are a lot of things to consider and variables at play when it comes to land, and it is not a decision we will make without careful consideration and dedicated prayer. However, God continues to provide financially, and we are moving closer to being able to afford land.
We are looking to expand and host four weeks of youth service events next summer and we have more than enough interest from groups to fill those slots already! The current plan is to continue to host these groups at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Greeley, CO. It has been a joy to partner with them over the last two years. This type of expansion in our summer events will likely bring with it the need to hire some seasonal summer staff to serve in roles such as cook, program/service event coordinator, and counselor. I am so pumped to see how God uses even more individuals here at Three Trees in 2024!
I continue to look ahead for new opportunities for Three Trees to reach our local community. Currently we are considering developing a men’s retreat and continuing to our family events/ministry. I am following God’s lead and while I don’t know exactly how everything will look in the future, I know that we are headed in the right direction!
Loved and Prayed for!
